My work

This collection was featured during the 2022 Romanian Jewelry Week. Through my work, I am to raise awareness of domestic violence and coercive control.

These brooches are about the false personas that offenders construct, frequently buying lovely jewellery as tokens of forgiveness for the victim, but the items have hidden histories involving coercive actions, concealed violence, concealed injuries, and mental anguish.

They were made using a needle lace technique, highlighting the contrast between gentle, "feminine," crafts and violent crimes.

A façade with a complex partially "bruised" appearance and a "blood red" or "black and blue" background that casts shadows and reflections that imply hidden traumas.
